This is my medieval asset pack created for my Photogrammetry class, and I am proud of how it turned out. The journey was anything but simple and required a lot of time and creative problem-solving, especially with handling the textures.
To provide some context on the challenges: I initially captured the two seamless textures using RealityScan, only to find out during export that it wasn't utilizing vertex colors. I tried to then take the photos and send them to realitycapture but it didn't come out right. This discovery forced me to devise a custom workflow to achieve the desired result. Here is what my workflow looked like:
RealityScan -to- Blender (create a new high-poly and low-poly model) -to- Substance Painter (bake the high-poly details onto the low-poly model) -to- Substance Designer (transfer the texture to a plane) -to- Substance Sampler (make the material tileable) -to- Unreal Engine (set up an unlit shader). All in all it was a little tedious to do the textures but I like how the models and textures came out in the end :D
The wooden bridge didn't give me any trouble really I like how it turned out. One thing that annoys me is how it is slightly tiled when the real life model isn't
I really like this building I think it came out really nice. If I had the time I would have done the insides as well.
This stone wall was very challenging to capture because the wall kept on splitting in two. 7th times a charm I guess
Stone rock that I totally didn't grab off the ground near my class.
Battle Torn Red Gnome /// He was find when I got him but somehow he fell apart at school.
The Well /// Aka the well of anger I really wish I could burn this model because the amount of pain it has caused me.
